CRANIOFASCIAL THERAPY

gentle hands-on care

WELCOME

There is a quiet intelligence in a baby’s body, a natural unfolding toward balance, softness, and ease.

Sometimes, birth or early experiences can create subtle patterns of tension in the body. These may show up as feeding challenges, difficulty settling, asymmetry, or general discomfort. Craniofascial work offers a gentle way to support your baby in integrating these patterns and experiences and in returning to their innate rhythm.

This work supports physical discomforts as well as the integration of birth experience and the settling into this big, new world.

ABOUT THE SESSIONS:
GENTLE HANDS-ON CARE

Our primary intention is to support baby to feel comfortable in their body.

Even in smooth births, there is a profound passage that the body continues to organize around in the days and weeks that follow. Offering time and intention to hold the rapidly developing nervous system within these transitional spaces can serve a profound effect on not only baby's experience of being in their bodies but on the family field as well.

Craniofascial Therapy may be supportive for:

  • General tension, discomfort or sensitivity

  • Birth strain (long labor, fast birth, cesarean birth, use of forceps/vacuum)

  • Feeding or latching challenges

  • Torticollis or head-turning preferences

  • Reflux or digestive discomfort

  • Colic or difficulty settling

  • Sleep challenges

It can also simply support baby’s overall regulation, development, and sense of ease in their body.

+++++++++

Sessions are slow, spacious, and baby-led. Using light, non-invasive, gentle touch, we listen to baby's system and support areas that are asking for space, softness and integration.

Often, babies may sleep, soften, stretch, or express emotions as their system unwinds and integrates.

There is no need for baby to “do” anything—this is a space for them to simply be, and to be met with presence and care.  Baby can be held by the caregiver, lie on a surface, or move freely, whatever feels most comfortable in the moment.

A TENDING FOR THE RELATIONAL FIELD

A space for you, too.

Caring for a baby is profound, and it can also be overwhelming.

We hold an appreciative attention to the relational field between you and your baby. As your baby softens and regulates, this often ripples outward—supporting connection, attunement, and a deepening sense of safety within your bond.

In this way, sessions gently include the wider family system. Space is held for your experience as a parent, and for the subtle dynamics that shape how everyone is settling into this new chapter together.

Concentric Water Ripples

You are welcome to book a session for your baby at any stage, newborn or older. Some families seek this support for specific concerns, while others come for general tending or integration following the birth experience.

Every baby and body is unique, and sessions are always guided by what feels supportive. We can discuss session frequency upon assessment and receptivity to treatment.
